We’ve offered presses for bottom bracket bearings for some time now, but a matching removal tool has been an obvious gap in our range.. Not any more!    The BB tools takes a slightly different tack to our smaller pullers. Rather than using an expanding collet to grip the bearing, our BB bearing remover uses a plate that catches an edge behind the bearing to pull it into a ‘cup’. The new products are coming thick and fast just now!  This one is an obvious next step. We now have bearing presses for the most common bottom bracket bearings: 24x37x7mm, 25x37x7mm and 30x42x7mm.  It's always exciting to release a new product, to take something you've been working on for a while, to open it to the world and see if anyone else thinks that it's worth having.  This new tool is simple - there's nothing groundbreaking in it - what you see is what you get. And it is, admittedly, a niche thing, but hopefully it'll help a few people out.

But rather than just announcing the arrival of the new product, I thought it would be fun to share the process that lead to it's arrival.
